Daughter-in-law responsible for Muzaffargarh Lassi poisoning: Police

Photo: Twitter MUZAFFARGARH: Police investigating the deaths of 13 people after drinking poisonous Lassi in Mauza Walot, Muzaffargarh, believe the newly-married daughter-in-law is responsible. Following the tragic incident five days ago, police have taken into custody the daughter-in-law and her alleged partner. Police sources claim Aasia had married Amjad around two months ago but prior to the incident, she had gone back to her parents' home. However, her in-laws brought her back their house. The interrogation of the accused has revealed that Aasia had attempted to give her husband the poisonous milk but he did not consume it. Unfortunately, that milk was later used to make Lassi ? a milk and yogurt-based drink ? for the entire family the next morning after which they all passed away.
