Vohra joined PSP because he couldn?t sustain pressure, says Sattar

[embed_video1 url=http://ift.tt/2iMvuNf style=center] KARACHI: Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan Farooq Sattar said on Tuesday that Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra left his party to join Pak Sarzameen Party because he couldn?t sustain the pressure of the money laundering case registered by the Federal Investigative Agency (FIA). Speaking in Geo Pakistan, Sattar said that Vohra will be given clean chit from the case as he sent the funds to London from proper banking channel, and State Bank didn?t serve him any warning on the taken action. The MQM-Pakistan leader said that the forced changes of loyalties are not beneficial for the city?s politics as people don?t positively see the act of strengthening a party through an artificial way. ?I am not ready to accept that he resigned just because of our local bodies performance,? he said. ?I am just a phone call away from him; he could have discussed it with me.? Sattar claimed that the biggest chunk of MQM supporters is behind him and many of the people who left his party want to come back. ?We are working from one office, our 200 offices are sealed. We will prove ourselves when there will be level playing field,? the MQM-P leader said. Sattar said that he saved the party from disarray. He requested PSP leader Anis Qaimkhani to take care of Vohra, and in a message to the deputy mayor, he said that If he wants to come back our doors are open. Responding to a question, he said that he has not taken any decision to de-seat Vohra from his seat. He brushed aside the allegations of former MQM loyalist Sarfarz Merchant that funds were being sent to the party founder even after August 23 ? the day when the party officially disassociated itself from the founder and its London chapter.
