OGRA seeks Rs2.5 hike in petrol price
[embed_video1 url=http://ift.tt/2z4JYhE style=center] ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulation Authority (Ogra) on late Monday forwarded a summary to the federal government, seeking an increase in the prices of POL products. The OGRA has recommended the petroleum division to increase the petroleum prices from Rs2.5 to Rs16 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs5.19. The new prices would come into effect from November 1 after the approval of the prime minister. On October 1, the ministry of finance revised prices of petroleum products, increasing the price of petrol by Rs2 per litre. The petrol was sold at Rs73.5 per litre. Prices for high-speed diesel (HSD) and light-speed diesel (LSD) were also increased by Rs2. The ministry also increased the price of kerosene oil by Rs4 per litre.
