Here's The Only Feature Missing From The OnePlus 6 That Would've Made It The Perfect Smartphone

OnePlus has generally been considered one of the best Android smartphones ever since the OnePlus 3T, and competes with the likes of Samsung's Galaxy devices and other flagships. OnePlus believes in offering products that have an extremely good build quality and top-of-the-line components for an unbeatable price. It's a device made taking inputs from fans and what the industry has to offer as a whole. OP6 already has features that put in the league with the top dogs. It has fast charging, a full view OLED display, a dual camera setup and now water resistance. We revealed that the OnePlus 6 has a very durable design and is probably worth more than what you're paying for. It has a glass sandwich design, which is mostly found on more expensive devices like the iPhone X, Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 8, iPhone 8 and the likes. In terms of design quality, OnePlus was able to deliver the same standard as flagship phones for a considerably lower price. © OnePlus Having said that, Apple and Samsung implemented a glass sandwich design for one particular reason. All of the above-mentioned devices support wireless charging, which could have only been possible with the all-glass design — not to mention it looks sexy too. It's clear that OnePlus wanted the OP6 to look sexy as well, however, wireless charging is missing from the device. Sure, wireless charging is not for everyone, as one has to buy a separate charging pad in order for it to work, but its still a feature that many (not all) fans want. © Funxim I've been using wireless chargers ever since we got our hands on the Galaxy S7 and to be honest, it's not a must-have feature to have. Wireless charging has more to do with convenience than functionality, and we think everyone knows that today. OnePlus' dash charging is one of our favourite features of the smartphone and it works like a charm when it comes to quick charging. However, we would have loved to see some form of wireless charging on the device. Maybe we will get to see it on the OnePlus 6T but that remains to be seen. Charging a smartphone by placing it on a pad would have made it simpler and more convenient for user's especially when they are tied to a desk. © Youtube_Dave Lee Having said all of this, we also understand why OnePlus opted to not include wireless charging as a feature. There are many drawbacks to wireless charging which probably wouldn't make sense for a mid-budget phone and may also increase the cost of manufacturing. Charging on a wireless pad is not as fast as it would be with the dash charger. You wouldn't be able to play games or take pictures if your smartphone was always placed on a wireless charger. Even though wireless charging is not the ideal feature for multitasking — we would have loved to see this convenient option nonetheless. Wireless charging has been a feature on flagship devices ever since the Galaxy S6 and it seems like more smartphone manufacturers are going to incorporate this feature. OnePlus as a company always delivers more than what fans ask for and we hope we see wireless charging on upcoming devices sooner or late.
