Mumbai Pours Gratitude On The Indian Army After The Elphinstone Bridge Was Rebuilt In 117 Days

Around 5 months ago, tragedy struck the Elphinstone Bridge and 23 people lost their lives. The Indian Army came to the rescue and helped in putting the situation under control. Not only that, the Army also promised to rebuild the entire bridge. Keeping their word, the Indian Army not only built it, but did it in a record 117 days! 250 Army men put up at the Army headquarters in Colaba and others in railway quarters in Parel and Kalyan, constructed bridges at the Parel, Currey Road & Ambivali railway stations #MumbaiThanksArmy pic.twitter.com/rqlZzlYD2l — Ministry of Railways (@RailMinIndia) February 27, 2018 Our brave soldiers managed to do what the Indian Railways couldn't manage to do in a very long time. The Indian Army also help in rebuilding the Ambivilli and Currey Road stations as well. Mumbaikars are grateful to Army for constructing 3 Foot Over Bridges in Elphinstone Road, Currey Road & Ambivilli in a record time, setting high standards of speed, skill and professionalism. #MumbaiThanksArmy pic.twitter.com/UNxnfHnq31 — Piyush Goyal (@PiyushGoyal) February 27, 2018 The best part about the development was that all the stations were inaugurated by the 'aam admi', and not some politician with his entourage that would only cause ruckus. The Elphinstone station was inaugurated by a florist and the other two stations were inaugurated by a 'dabba wala' and a 'fisherman'. मिसाल: à¤à¤¸ बार नà¥à¤¤à¤¾ नहà¥à¤ à¤à¤¨à¤¤à¤¾ नॠà¤à¤¾à¤à¤¾ फà¥à¤¤à¤¾ https://t.co/hzLbBDPO6g @PiyushGoyal pic.twitter.com/BJc23G5C03 — NBT Hindi News (@NavbharatTimes) February 27, 2018 Mumbaikars Rock !!!
