The Moon Will Soon Get A 4G Network While We Are Still Struggling With 2G On Earth

Let's be honest here for a minute: None of us, and we mean absolutely none of us, are satisfied with our particular mobile network. Calls dropping, not getting any network whatsoever, not just inside our homes but even at public places has unfortunately become a part of our everyday lives. So when the news of the freaking moon getting its own mobile network comes up, what else do you expect apart from widespread outrage? We are talking about Vodafone Germany that has appointed Nokia as its technology partner in order to develop a space-grade network and Audi, that will be making the two Quattro rovers. Nearly 50 years after man first went to the moon, we're teaming up with @Nokia and @PTScientists to create the first 4G network on the moon. Who are they gonna call? Well, the purpose of this project is to enable high-definition streaming from the lunar landscape back to earth. Basically, something that our non-scientific minds will find hard to comprehend. Anyway, all of this is great and we can't wait to see if they ACTUALLY are able to achieve this in one year but the case in point is that when we don't get proper network on Earth, why is getting a network on the moon the priority? Why is no one working on getting a good network here? Thankfully, it's not just us asking these valid questions. The rest of the internet is with us: 1. Everybody has the same concern So apparently the moon is all set to get a 4G mobile network. Meanwhile, I can't get signal or any 'G' in & around my house in South Wales! #priorities https://t.co/47KZo8fC4n — Marie Yates (@LifeAsMarie) February 28, 2018 2. Not fair at all Moon to get 4G mobile network - https://t.co/GI4yu9JYrF > so the moon will have decent #broadband before our modern housing estate in Merseyside? Hardly seems fair. — Sheridan Webb (@sheridan_webb) February 28, 2018 3. Vodafone, are you listening? Vodafone, can you please give me a stable 4g network in my office..Go to the moon later please Vodafone targets 4G network on moon in 2019 https://t.co/TFJNdLSrFZ via @economictimes — Shilpa Mohta (@shilpamohta) February 28, 2018 4. The long-distance relationship may shorten then :-D#Nokia #Nasa #Space #LUNAR #technology — Bill Karly (@realbillkarly) February 28, 2018 5. Sun lo yaar Vodafone @VodafoneIN is not even able to provide 2G network at good condition calls drops every 5 minutes in Delhi and talking about moon LMAO ð — Brbaad_यार (@meena_dhara) February 28, 2018 6. Good time to complain Instead of focusing on moon, please focus on your customer first. It's been 2 months since I have complained for network issue, but no resolution so far. @airtelindia @Airtel_Presence Should I switch to Airtel? pic.twitter.com/FjblhvQNU9 — Ayan Sarkar (@sarkar_sahab) February 28, 2018 7. Gotta find a new spot When you thought there was still one place you could go for peace and quiet ... Irony at its best .@VodafoneGroup While the news of #Vodafone working on providing a #4G network on the #moon is quite progressive,it's also ironic at the same time! They can't provide seamless networks here on earth but r actually aiming for the moon!Prolly bcoz there'll be no one to complain! 𤣠— Unstoppable (@MadBan29) February 28, 2018 10. #Justsaying Hey @VodafoneUK how about you focus on enabling people in the UK to get a decent mobile signal on your rubbish network rather than PR stunts about setting up a mobile signal on the moon?! Elon Musk you are not! #justsaying #Vodafone — Greg Longley (@TheGregLongley) February 28, 2018 We genuinely hope all these complaints do reach the respective companies. At least before 2019 because that's when the mission is supposed to launch from Cape Canaveral with a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Have a look at what they aim to do:
