Monopoly, A Game That Broke Friendships Is Now Out To Unleash The Dirty Cheater In You

Guys, let us warn you. A huge war is going to start and Hasbro has already laid the stepping stone for it with THIS announcement. Life of a Millennial vs the life of every 90s kid is a decades-old debate, but there is no friggin' person on this earth, who can deny that the latter part of the world was introduced to some of the coolest stuff one can imagine, the joy of which kids today will never understand or relate with. © Hasbro Today's generation might be consumed with fancy PlayStations and X-Box, but back in the day, indoor games were 'da bomb'. There were games like 'Chess' that enhanced the development of our brain, and 'Snakes & Ladder' or 'Ludo' that was the ultimate trick to gel with cousins. And then there was 'Monopoly' that continues to break families and friendships, even today. We don't think there's a single game of Monopoly played in the world where a player hasn't cheated or cried over lost money. © Hasbro Like this kid realized how cruel the world is, when he had to lose his T-shirt while playing and eventually give up on the game in a fit of rage. And this kid threw his friend's phone in anger since he was losing the game. People understood the reality of having trust issues and their reaction, anger and frustration was quite understandable. In all honesty, I am sure most of us have faced both the situations, where we not only tried to pocket some extra cash, but also ended up losing it all after two or three turns. © Hasbro While, we slyly tried to pull off the cheating tricks back then, Hasbro, the company that made this game is now giving a legit chance to all the cheaters within us. How? By introducing a new version 'Monopoly Cheaters' where your game strategy is to trick others and dodge the rules as much as possible. We guess Christmas is coming early for a lot of us. In this Cheater's edition which comes with 15 cheat cards and a handcuff, you can now move someone else's token on your turn or take money from the bank and if you're successful, you will get free properties and extra cash as rewards. But, if you lose you will have to give up on your money and end up handcuffed in the jail. Now, we're talking! © Hasbro Jonathan Berkowitz, senior Vice President of Hasbro told Insider, “a recent study conducted by Hasbro revealed that nearly half of game players attempt to cheat during Monopoly games, so in 2018, we decided it was time to give fans what they've been craving all along - a Monopoly game that actually encourages cheating.” These are some of the cheat tricks you can try in this edition: • Stealing money from the bank • Removing a hotel from someone else's property • Moving another player's token instead of your own of your turn • Taking an extra $100 from the bank when you pass GO • Collecting rent for someone else's property Can you see tears of joy rolling down our cheeks?
